Job description

Your missions

Our client, a large manufacturing company with offices in the DFW area, is in need of a Data Scientist to work remotely for a 3-month contract. The Data Scientist will be supporting our client’s Data Science team in their efforts to build a Supply Chain Demand Planning Model on the SKU level using machine learning for forecast certain brands at an 80%+ accuracy. This will be a proof of concept and if successful will move to other brands throughout the company. The Data Scientist will work hand in hand with the Manager of Data Science to create the model. They will use Jupyter notebook, Bayesian models, ML/Neural Networks, Tensorflow & PyTorch, Time Series Forecasting, Measure Models, Regression Models, Statistical Programming, Markov Chain Monte Carlo Simulation, and Snowflake to help build their model.

Job Description

3-5 years of Data Science experience building out demand planning models within supply chain using machine learning

Jupyter Notebook
Bayesian Models
Machine learning/Neural Networks – Machine learning algorithms – Candidates must know how Neural Networks are implemented and applied
Python (A tradeoff can be R)
Experience researching and building out robust models
Tensorflow/PyTorch
Snowflake (SQL is a tradeoff)
Experience with supply chain: multiple time series forecasting models, measure models, regression models, statistical programming, Markov Chain Monte Carlo.
