Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall program/project management of the Company's strategic finance initiatives (primarily finance systems), including the organization, planning and execution of these projects. Such efforts also include detailed coordination/communication with all constituents, development and ownership of project plans and liaising with key resources to drive decisioning and resolution. This candidate would often need to help define and identify issues, that are encountered, collect data, establish facts, and assist the team in drawing valid conclusions. The role may often require interpretation of technical and functional instructions involving both abstract and concrete variables. This position may require interaction with a wide range of executives, managers, associates, and vendors and involves the preparation of frequent status communications in a clear and concise manner. The primary Finance project is currently a multi-year implementation/conversion to SAP S4 HANA as the single financial platform for the enterprise; other projects TBD.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads efforts among external stakeholders, internal stakeholders, Finance colleagues, IT colleagues,vendors, etc. Works across multiple segments, divisions, companies, etc. on an enterprise-wide basis and leads multi-phased projects in a fast-paced environment. Works with Vice President to prioritize and manage ongoing Finance projects; requires ability to work across a multi-segment enterprise.
  • Prepares integrated project plans for multiple workstreams using MS Project tools. Understands business needs and requirements and translates into functional and technical specifications.
  • Prepares communication artifacts for all audience levels (associates, executives, third parties, etc.)
  • Able to look ahead, anticipate next steps, plans, issue identification with the continuous goal of remaining on track.
  • Work with Finance colleagues to understand budget status for all projects.
  • Understands and documents inter-dependencies of tasks; works across teams and exerts influence, as well as drives issues to quick resolution.
  • Works with VP to determine optimal utilization of team resources.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications- Bachelors

  • 5 to 7 Years
  • Project manager or program lead for SAP S4 HANA Financials implementation(s)
  • Advanced knowledge and utilization of Microsoft Project tools
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the company to include senior leadership
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven ability to influence without direct reporting relationships
