Job Description

Join our Strategic Business Applications team as an IT Project Manager, where you’ll be the driving force behind exciting tech projects that power our organization! You'll lead the charge in planning, executing, and delivering high-impact initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to the company. As the go-to person for stakeholders, you’ll keep the communication flowing smoothly and ensure projects stay on track, within budget, and perfectly aligned with our business goals.

This position reports out of the Sacramento Corporate Office but is offered as hybrid-remote or remote depending on experience and location.

The salary offered is dependent on location and experience but ranges from $46.93-$63.65/hour.

What you would be doing:

 

  • Provide direction to the project team through planning, resource management, and status meetings.
  • Define project tasks and resource needs for system enhancements requested by business unit owners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve challenges in implementing new mortgage technology software.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Manage project scope changes and assess the impact on timelines, resources, and budget. Ensure all changes are documented and approved by stakeholders.
  • Maintain development timelines and coordinate with management on technology enhancement roadmaps.
  • Regularly present progress reports to leadership, identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards through rigorous testing and stakeholder feedback.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with third-party vendors or consultants to ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct project evaluations and assess results for each major initiative.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes by analyzing past project outcomes to optimize future execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (equivalent work experience may be considered).
  • PMP or PMI Certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management or related roles.
  • Proven track record of managing complex technology projects with successful outcomes.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, etc.).
  • Experience in the mortgage industry preferred, including familiarity with loan origination systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
