This individual should be very comfortable with photo and video post-production workflows and verbal communication in English.

Job Description:


The Assistant Manager - Ingest Management will be responsible for making sure all photo and video projects move into post production smoothly, and supporting the post production team to ensure the best possible turnaround time with the best possible output. All issues or delays are navigated with clear communication and turnaround expectations are met, with a drive towards exceeding current standards. A master of the outcomes, the Assistant Manager - Ingest Management will create momentum to match every need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee movement of unedited photo and video data from talent members into post production queues

  • Accountable for the photo and video post-production turnaround time being met

  • Communicate to internal stakeholders post production needs for ideal production times

  • Identify solutions for delays or issues

  • Oversee ingest and production issue queue for the production team

  • Work with DM to allocate and reallocate employee resources as needed

  • Sequence, prioritize, and assign tasks to ensure deadlines are met

  • Develop and refine processes and procedures for the department

  • Other administrative tasks and projects as assigned by manager

  • Work with editors and production teams to ensure timely and accurate ingestion for each project.

  • Collaborate with Management and Editors to ensure a smooth workflow between ingest and editing processes.

  • Communicate with the production team to anticipate media needs

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to media ingest and file transfers.

  • Provide training and guidance on best practices for file management and media ingestion to junior team members.

  • Monitor the quality and accuracy of ingested media, identifying potential issues early in the process.

  • Ensure workflows are optimized for efficiency, reducing bottlenecks or delays in the post-production timeline.

  • Assist in developing and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ingest and file management processes.

  • Reporting

    • 100% real-time updates in CRM for accurate reflection of team performance

  • Daily Targets

    • 100% of photo editing work into production with 2 weeks lead time to client given due date

    • Post Production Tasks assigned and completion fully within 5 business days

    • Ingest Issues Identified and Routed within 24 hours

    • Alternate Uploads Confirmed at Routed with 2 working shifts

  • Work with the management team to develop creative solutions

EXPERIENCE AND EXECUTION ESSENTIALS:

  • 5+ years of photo or video post production experience

  • 3+ years of management experience

  • Working knowledge of standard prosumer video codecs

  • Working knowledge of standard prosumer camera bodies

  • Ability to think critically and resolve issues and challenges

  • Fluent in English and the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Have real work experience following creative direction with real deadlines and structure

  • Have a professional track record of managing a team of editors

  • Proficiency in organizational skill and time management

  • Driven to be self-motivated, reliable, and responsible
