Who We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • College degree and/or paralegal certificate.
  • 5-7 years of paralegal experience in a corporate legal department or law firm (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Skills And Attributes

  • Experience with health plans or providers is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate contracts and healthcare regulations.
  • Familiarity with complex litigation processes.
  • Proficient in using office equipment (phone, computer, fax, copier/scanner).
  • Advanced skills in Windows PC applications, including Microsoft Office, WordPerfect, Outlook, Excel, OneNote, Skype, and Adobe.
  • Solid understanding of legal terminology and court procedures.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, able to interact professionally with attorneys, executives, and all levels of staff.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and take on complex tasks.

What You'll Do

As a Paralegal II, you will:

  • Support in-house attorneys with discovery and litigation processes.
  • Maintain databases and information related to business transactions and litigation cases.
  • Assist in preparing litigation reports and legal documents.
  • Manage individual litigation cases, from intake to preparation of discovery requests and responses.
  • Respond to legal inquiries and information requests, consulting with your supervisor as needed.
  • Perform special projects and proofreading of legal documents to ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling, and substance.

Compensation & Benefits

The hiring range for this Paralegal II role is \(39.61 - \)53.59 per hour, depending on experience, skills, education, and location. There is also a 10% bonus target for this position. The full hourly range for this role is \(37.20 to \)60.60.

This position is fully remote, offering flexibility for work-life balance.
