Full-Time Public Health Faculty (Assistant Instructor, Instructor, Assistant Professor)

Description

We are looking for three full-time Instructors at various ranks - Assistant Instructor, Instructor, and Assistant Professor - to join our expanding academic team. This program aims to address the public health workforce shortage by providing a fully online, applied, accessible, affordable, and competency-based educational experience. With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and a commitment to public health excellence, this program is part of a well-established academic institution.

Since 2008, our program has grown significantly, serving over 200 current students and more than 700 alumni, supported by a dedicated faculty of around 20 members. We take pride in training public health professionals capable of making a positive impact both locally and globally.

Position Overview

Selected faculty will join a dynamic team of public health professionals and will have the opportunity to:

• Teach online courses in a fully remote-friendly environment.
• Engage with a diverse group of students.
  
  

Expertise Areas Sought

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the following areas:

• Rural Health
• Data Management, Analytics, and Informatics
• Public Health Research Methods & Program Design (e.g., program evaluation, mixed-methods, community-based research)
• Health Policy
  
  

Responsibilities Include

• Teaching graduate-level courses in an online format.
• Mentoring and advising students.
• Participating in academic committees and faculty meetings (remote or in-person).
• Contributing to research initiatives with colleagues.
• Fostering community partnerships aligned with our mission.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Public health practice experience with a focus on leadership or community partnerships.
• Experience teaching graduate-level online courses, particularly in public health.
• A strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree for Assistant Instructor rank.
• Master's degree for Instructor rank.
• DrPH, PhD, or related doctoral degree from an accredited institution for Assistant Professor rank.
• Experience as Lead Instructor at the graduate level preferred.

Work Environment

This position is remote-friendly, allowing successful candidates to work remotely based on mutual agreement. Faculty are not required to be on-site at the main campus but are expected to actively participate in academic activities.
