Description

Are you a dedicated and experienced Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner looking to share your expertise with aspiring professionals? We invite applications from qualified individuals who have both teaching experience and industry expertise in this field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and mentor students in the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Provide guidance and support to help students achieve their academic and professional goals.
  • Engage with students through exceptional oral and written communication.
  • Use online platforms effectively for course delivery and student interaction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active practice as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
  • At least one year of experience as a licensed Nurse Practitioner (graduate school experience not included).
  • Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with an unencumbered license.
  • Proven ability to coach and assist students effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Licensure in California, Idaho, Nebraska, New Hampshire, or Oklahoma is required. Multi-state licenses are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
  • Current or willingness to obtain state licenses in California, Idaho, Nebraska, New Hampshire, and Ohio, or hold multi-state licenses.
  • Experience with Canvas or similar online course delivery platforms.

Physical Demands

The role requires the ability to engage with students through various online tools and platforms.

Application Process

  • Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
  • Adjunct instructors will receive orientation and training on the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and are required to complete a self-paced online training course on online facilitation and student engagement.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background screening.
  • Applicants requiring sponsorship for employment authorization will not be considered.
