Description

We are looking for a talented Health, Safety, and Environment Risk Support Practicioner to join our team specializing in health and safety for our corporate office in Atlanta, GA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Enhancing Safety and Environmental Standards: By implementing health, safety, and environmental programs, you’ll help regional sites achieve their objectives and targets, ensuring a safer and more sustainable workplace.

Driving Continuous Improvement: Collaborating with global teams, you’ll contribute to the development of policies and procedures that drive continuous improvement across the region.

Coaching and Mentoring: Your guidance will help sites implement effective hazard and risk controls, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability through education and awareness programs.

Problem-Solving and Standardization: You’ll address non-routine and common health, safety, and environmental issues, promoting best practices and standardization across the region.

Audit Leadership: Leading or participating in regional audits, you’ll ensure sites are prepared and conform to health, safety, and environmental standards, enhancing overall compliance.

Incident Investigation: By supporting local incident investigations, you’ll help identify root causes and implement corrective actions, improving safety outcomes and meeting reporting obligations.

Supplier and Consultant Management: Evaluating and managing regional suppliers and consultants, you’ll ensure they meet health, safety, and environmental standards, contributing to overall program success.

Effective Communication: Executing communication objectives, you’ll align regional efforts with the global strategy, ensuring clear and consistent messaging on health, safety, and sustainability initiatives.

Communicates Effectively: Clear and effective communication will help you convey the importance of health, safety, and environmental programs to different audiences, ensuring everyone understands their role and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or university equivalent required. Health and Safety and/or Environmental degree preferred.
  • Significant relevant HSE experience required. 5-7 years of experience.
  • Previous experience working across various counties within the region preferred.
  • Progress toward professional certification, preferred.
  • Multi-site experience preferred

Additional Details

  • Environmental Compliance experience preferred.
  • Ergonomics experience preferred.
  • Experience leading injury reduction initiatives preferred.
  • Travel to locations in Louisiana and the southern part of Texas.
