About The Role

The Research Project Coordinator, under Clinical Operations, will perform operational and tactical support for Foresight Diagnostics’ participation in biopharmaceutical research projects. Foresight Dx customers are biopharmaceutical companies or research institutions seeking precision oncology assays to evaluate minimal residual disease (MRD) and a partner to execute diagnostic projects. The Research Project Coordinator will coordinate sample logistics and tracking to ensure quality testing services. The position may also support biobanking activities and additional Clinical Operations projects. The Research Project Coordinator will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across functions to manage samples, timelines, and relationships. Activities will include proactive, clear and customer-centric communication, day to day project management, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate and track sample shipments with biopharma partners, research institutions, and clinical research organizations (CROs); including reconciling manifests and total number of samples received.
  • Track sample processing and deliver study specific sample status updates, identifying samples that have passed, on hold and failures.
  • Compare contracted sample numbers with the number of received samples and reported results and integrate all sample information into Salesforce, Foresight’s Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).
  • Monitor the sample query process through JIRA ticketing and query partners to obtain missing or corrected information.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with translational research, clinical data management, alliance management, and clinical operations to ensure accurate and quality data delivery.
  • Work to continuously improve the laboratory services process and identify opportunities for enhancement, collaborating with operational and engineering teams to develop solutions and facilitating delivery of workflow improvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide study updates as needed to functional leads.
  • Maintain documentation on key study contacts, internal and external.
  • Manage sample return and destruction process for all research partners.
  • Engage in problem solving related to sample receipt, accessioning, tracking, and data delivery.
  • Effectively track and communicate project progress to partners with the ability to create and update detailed dashboards and trackers.
  • Collaborate with partners to establish a working approach, including optimization of communication and sharing of tools.
  • Facilitate study intake process and start-up activities with partners, including project specific plans.


What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in scientific field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 2+ years of professional work experience in the science or health industry
  • Clinical trial experience in the biopharmaceutical or diagnostic industry or an academic medical center
  • Experience working at or with Clinical Research Organization (CRO) or lab vendor environment or biopharmaceutical companies
  • Experience handling complex clinical data sets including genomic data
  • Confident, self-starter capable of taking ownership of tasks
  • Attention to detail with pride in delivering an excellent work product
  • Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated evidence of success working in a cross-functional environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including email responsiveness and strong customer service skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (CRM)


This role is offering an annual salary between $70,000 - $100,000 and is eligible for equity offerings.
