Your missions

Description

As the Global Category Manager for Manufacturing Services, you will engage across various areas, including CapEx, MRO, Utilities, and Dispense. Your primary aim will be to drive project implementation within our Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project risks, deliver planned savings and improvements, and identify additional opportunities.
  • Support category leads in strategy refresh with category insights.
  • Manage or assist in executing key strategic projects, from large Capital projects to onsite spares and services provisions.
  • Assist in risk management activities, market risk assessments, and category risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with in-market teams to share supplier performance data and construct supplier improvement plans.
  • Ensure on-time project delivery, staying within budget (including savings) and specifications.

Requirements (Capabilities, Skills & Experience)

  • Graduate or equivalent qualification; membership in a professional body, e.g., CIPS.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in CapEx Procurement.
  • Strong analytical and financial awareness, including an understanding of financial goals and value drivers.
  • Technically literate with proven competence in effectively using systems.
  • Engineering and/or operations experience of 5 years or more preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of consistent performance and delivery.
  • Proficiency in category management, sourcing, and relationship management.
  • Ability to engage with technical teams, share insights, and implement Pan-regional and global sourcing initiatives with various business partners.
  • Strong interest and expertise in renewable energy procurement.

Accountabilities

General:

  • Apply expertise to work with internal partners (Procurement and business) ensuring RFPs target key business and commercial outcomes.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of category and sourcing outcomes, leading the development of best-in-class market data and category strategies.

Category Strategy

  • Ensure sourcing exercises achieve desired outcomes while managing associated risks and ensuring program value.
  • Collaborate with category managers to develop relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers for enhanced insights and value.

Best-in-Class Capabilities

  • Generate insights from benchmarking, develop cost models to consider scenarios with suppliers, and improve analytics capabilities for strategy reviews.

Sourcing

  • Develop and implement efficient sourcing strategies to support the transition to net zero/SoP 2030 targets.
  • Engage business partners as required, applying industry best practices.

Contracting

  • Support effective planning and preparation for sourcing projects using the Negotiation Toolkit.
  • Assist category managers in negotiating contracts; manage contracts and compliance throughout their lifecycle.

Risk Management

  • Support risk management initiatives with relevant data inputs. Ensure best practices are applied in handling risks.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Use supplier relationship management frameworks to assess performance and develop action plans.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to explore breakthrough opportunities in line with Procurement strategic supplier strategies.

Excellence In Supply Chain Source

  • Experience in KPI-led performance management and working with cross-functional teams including remote collaborators.
