Description

Leidos Civil Transportation Solutions Operation at Leidos has an opening for an energetic and detail-oriented Systems Engineering Technical Trainer who will support the Federal Aviation Administration Enterprise-Information Display System (E-IDS), which provides access to supplemental information from numerous sources to augment the information available on the Air Traffic Management (ATM) service provider’s primary display.

This position will require the technical trainer to develop, edit and document web-based training in accordance with FAA standards.

Systems Engineering Technical Trainer Responsibilities

  • Perform E-IDS training development and implementation, following established processes, in support of the following activities:
  • Translate technical and complex system information and requirements into E-IDS training design elements.
  • Develop the E-IDS Air Traffic, Technical Operations, Security Data Administration, and Second Level Engineering Course training CDRLs:
  • Support Leidos Training and FAA Training reviews of development materials and CDRL activities.
  • Generate Course Material to deliver and support Design and Development documents.
  • Deliver course materials and provide instruction and support in course revision, and course development.
  • Skills in Microsoft 365 Suite, Microsoft Visio, or graphic editor, Articulate Storyline 360 or equivalent animated WBT
  • Demonstrated ability to review and provide editorial comments for content developed by other team members.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires BS and a minimum of 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Extensive background with Web Based Training (WBT) with the ability to translate technical and complex design information into user-friendly E-IDS training material and Web Based Training (WBT).
  • Experience with Instructional Design.
  • Prior use and knowledge working with Storyline.
  • Knowledge of FAA related operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in one of the four FAA subject areas:
    • Air Traffic
    • Technical Operations Support
    • Security and Data Administration
    • Second level Debug and Engineering Support.

Pay Range

Pay Range $61,750.00 - $111,625.00
