Your missions

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Compliance Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will assist our Compliance Officer or Ethics & Compliance leadership by coordinating, implementing, and evaluating our Ethics and Compliance Program. Your goal will be to help ensure compliance with applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and internal policies, collaborating with various teams including Ethics & Compliance, Legal, and Risk Services.

You will have the opportunity to plan and manage regulatory compliance projects, conduct internal investigations, assist with audits, and ensure that our compliance policies and procedures are current. Additionally, you will serve as a key resource supporting various compliance activities such as monitoring, quality assurance, training, and confidential reporting.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position requiring occasional on-site presence for meetings and work within the Northern California region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Assist with internal investigations, compliance audits, and risk assessments.
  • Manage and oversee complex regulatory compliance projects.
  • Support the development and updating of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of data related to compliance activities.
  • Provide training and education on compliance-related topics.
  • Serve as a point of contact for confidential reporting.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification & Licensure: CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance) certification required within one year of hire.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare compliance.

Skills And Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, including ethics programs, regulatory requirements, and auditing processes.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, billing, coding, and legal terminology.
  • Familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, enabling you to draw conclusions and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Project, and other relevant software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and ensure patient privacy.

Additional Information

  • Work Schedule: Full-time (Monday - Friday)
  • Shift: Day shift, 8-hour shifts
  • Benefits: Full benefits package available
  • Work from Home: Eligible for remote work, though some on-site work is required.
  • Position Status: Exempt
  • Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Compensation

The pay range for this position is \(48.72 to \)73.08 per hour, based on experience, education, certifications, and departmental needs. This role also qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package.
