Description

We are looking for a Principal Guidance Content Solutions Architect to join our Cloud Optimization Success team. This role is pivotal in defining and maintaining architectural guidance aligned with the AWS Cloud Adoption and Well-Architected Frameworks, helping customers implement best practices for cloud technologies, thereby enabling secure, reliable, performant, cost-efficient, and sustainable workloads while delivering business value.

About The Role

In this autonomous role, you will focus on providing customer-facing guidance through remote and on-site engagements. You will be a thought leader in global architecture guidance, developing prescriptive guidance that addresses business and technical architectural needs on AWS, acting as a consultant throughout the development and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Trusted Advisor: Address complex challenges faced by diverse AWS customers, from cloud-native startups to global enterprises.
• Thought Leader: Lead a community of Subject Matter Experts to develop content delivering prescriptive guidance and author content when necessary.
• Customer Feedback: Regularly collect feedback to ensure customers maximize their value from AWS as they scale.
• Content Development: Research, develop, validate, and publish technical content including reference architectures and best practices.
• Collaboration: Partner with broader AWS teams, Professional Services, and AWS Partners to provide customer value.
• Influence: Encourage adherence to AWS guidance among customers and internal stakeholders.
• Presentation: Deliver advanced-level guidance and lead educational exercises that support customers in their digital transformation journey.
• Product Collaboration: Work closely with product and engineering teams on defining features and capabilities.
• Strategic Planning: Drive large organizational initiatives and contribute to strategic roadmap creation.
• Mentorship: Support customer implementations while mentoring AWS field team members.
• Team Growth: Assist in hiring, coaching, and mentoring team members.
• Travel: Potential travel up to 20% may be required.

Basic Qualifications

• Technical degree required; preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture/Consultancy.
• 5+ years in technical thought leadership in cloud computing, including published blogs and papers on architectural best practices.
• Proven strategic thinking in business and technical solutions.
• Strong ability to work globally across organizations.
• Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills.
• Experience in program management and excellent communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification and familiarity with AI/ML technologies.
  
  

Compensation

Compensation varies by geographic market, with base pay ranging from \(164,500 to \)284,300, influenced by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A total compensation package includes equity and various benefits.
