Allen Recruitment, a dynamic and expanding organisation with offices across Europe, is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist for a 3-month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, close-knit team responsible for managing payroll operations across multiple European countries. The Senior Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a diverse workforce, including head office employees, temporary staff, consultants, and contractors.

Role Description

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be integral to the Accounts Team, processing payroll, managing timesheets, conducting monthly reporting, and resolving payroll issues. This position offers the flexibility of full remote work or a hybrid arrangement from any European location. The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for running monthly salaried payrolls across various European countries, liaising with external payroll partners, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and contractual obligations.


Must Have Skills

  • Fluent English proficiency
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in payroll processing
  • Working knowledge of UK and Ireland payroll systems
  • Strong Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot table)
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines
  • Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills


Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with Brightpay payroll software
  • Qualification with IPASS or country-equivalent
  • Working knowledge of international payroll and/or European payroll processes
  • Experience in automation projects
  • Second or third European language
