Description

Are you ready to make a significant impact in logistics and supply chain management? We're looking for a dynamic Regional Category Manager to lead logistics services across the Americas. In this exciting role, you'll be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies that drive efficiency and productivity while working with a diverse team across multiple countries.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive regional logistics strategy for transportation (ground, sea, air) and warehousing operations in the US, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru.
  • Supplier Management: Lead the selection and integration of new suppliers, optimizing cost and performance. Negotiate contracts to ensure the best total cost of ownership and meet regional logistics requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek out new suppliers and alternative logistics solutions. Apply sophisticated negotiation techniques to test market prices and drive cost-effective agreements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various functions within the organization and coordinate with teams across seven countries and three manufacturing plants (two in the US, one in Brazil).
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met and drive continuous improvement. Document and implement savings initiatives to support business success.
  • Supplier Development: Establish and manage supplier development processes, including on-site assessments, certification audits, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Global Contribution: Support global logistics responsibilities, including escalations and digitalization projects. Ensure alignment with overall business goals and contribute to strategic logistics tasks.

What We're Looking For

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are a plus. 8-10+ years of experience in procurement and logistics, with a proven track record of implementing improvement measures.
  • Skills & Expertise: Bilingual in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus). Strong negotiation skills and experience in achieving challenging targets. Ability to work with diverse teams and manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Personal Traits: A team player who is dedicated, target-oriented, and enjoys achieving results. Experience in intercultural settings and a passion for continuous improvement are essential.
