Overview:

The Director of Technical Marketing – Motion Production is responsible for developing and executing the technical marketing strategy for motion production products. This role involves collaborating with product development, sales, and marketing teams to ensure the technical features and benefits of these products are effectively communicated to target audiences. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and plays a key role in driving product adoption and market growth. Additionally, the Technical Marketing Director will oversee field marketing efforts and manage the Senior Field Marketing Manager and a team of Field Technicians.

 

FUJIFILM North America Corporation, a marketing subsidiary of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation, consists of six operating divisions. The Imaging Division provides consumer and commercial photographic products and services, including silver halide consumables; inkjet consumables; digital printing equipment, along with service and support; personalized photo products fulfillment; film; one-time-use cameras; and the popular INSTAX® line of instant cameras, smartphone printers, instant film, and accessoriesThe Electronic Imaging Division markets its GFX System and X Series lines of mirrorless digital cameras, lenses, and accessories to provide a variety of content creation solutions for both still and moving imagery. The Optical Devices Division provides optical lenses for the broadcast, cinematography, closed circuit television, videography, and industrial markets, and also markets binoculars and other optical imaging solutions. The Graphic Communication Division utilizes its extensive industry knowledge to develop fully supported traditional and digital print solutions for industries including commercial print, wide format, and packaging with its comprehensive line of digital inkjet presses, production toner printers, and software. The Industrial Products Division delivers new products derived from Fujifilm technologies including data storage tape products, including OEM and FUJIFILM Ultrium LTO cartridges, desalination solutions, microfilters and gas separation membranes. The Non-Destructive Testing Division delivers radiography solutions to ensure high accuracy inspection of transportation infrastructure, and assets within aerospace, and oil and gas industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Technical Marketing Strategy:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive technical marketing strategies for motion production cameras and lenses, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Identify key technical features and benefits of motion production cameras and lenses and create compelling technical marketing messages to communicate these to target audiences.
  • Product Launches and Campaigns:
    • Lead the technical aspect of product launches, including the creation of technical documentation, positioning documents, presentations, and demonstrations.
    • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that highlight the technical capabilities of motion production cameras and lenses.
  • Content Creation:
    • Develop high-quality technical content, including whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and videos, to educate and engage potential customers.
    • Collaborate with the content team to ensure technical accuracy and consistency in all marketing materials.
  • Customer and Partner Engagement:
    • Act as the primary technical liaison for key customers and partners, providing technical support and addressing inquiries related to motion production cameras and lenses.
    • Conduct technical training sessions and workshops for customers, partners, and internal teams to enhance product understanding and adoption.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
    • Analyze technical marketing performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with product development, sales, and marketing teams to ensure technical marketing efforts are aligned with product development and sales strategies.
    • Provide technical input and support for sales and marketing initiatives, including trade shows, events, and online marketing activities.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Stay updated on the latest advancements in cinema camera and broadcast optics technology and industry standards.
    • Serve as the in-house technical expert for motion production cameras and lenses, providing guidance and support to internal teams.
  • Brand Building:
    • Enhance the company’s reputation as a leader in cinema camera and broadcast optics technology by participating in industry events, speaking engagements, and contributing to industry publications.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry influencers, media, and technical communities.
  • Field Marketing:
    • Oversee the execution of comprehensive field marketing initiatives to drive sales and brand awareness for motion production cameras and lenses.
    • Ensure that field marketing activities align with overall marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Team Management:
    • Manage and provide leadership to the Senior Field Marketing Manager and the Field Marketing Team.
    • Ensure that the team is effectively trained, supported, and equipped to carry out their roles.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional development for team members.

    Required Skills/Education

     

    • Bachelor’s degree and advance degree preferred.
    • 10+ years industry experience; 8-10 year of motion production related experience.
    • Ability to research and analyze various different types of data and make sound business judgments focused on achieving results.
    • Ability to prioritize work and sales opportunities.
