About the role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Data Scientist to help us blaze some trails and lead our growing efforts in data science and machine learning. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to unlock valuable insights from our vast product data. By applying your analytical prowess, you will guide strategic decision-making, influence product roadmap decisions, and contribute to the growth and success of Unbounce. 
You’ll be combining techniques in deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP and more to deliver value to our customers with machine learning and data backed insights.

 

What you'll be doing:
  • Advanced Data Analysis Lead the validation and analysis of large, complex datasets to uncover deep insights. You'll drive the identification of patterns, trends, and correlations that directly inform and enhance our product offerings, guiding strategic decision-making.
  • Data Mastery You’ll excel at grappling with vast and varied datasets, extracting maximum value even from messy or unstructured data. Your ability to uncover hidden insights and make data-driven decisions will be critical in driving innovation and product improvements.
  • Innovative Statistical Modeling Design, develop, and implement advanced statistical models and cutting-edge algorithms to solve high-impact business problems. Your work will shape the future of our product strategy by providing rigorous, data-driven solutions.
  • Machine Learning Expertise Apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to empower our customers to achieve high performance and ROI. You will spearhead projects that utilize advanced NLP techniques, generative models, image analysis, and reinforcement learning. Your contributions will push the boundaries of what our ML capabilities can achieve.
  • Leadership, Mentorship, and Collaboration Take a leadership role within a diverse, cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts. You'll mentor junior team members, share your expertise, and foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Strategic Product Insights Act as a key partner to product management, translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations. You will directly influence the product roadmap and strategy, ensuring our offerings remain at the forefront of the market.

 

A little about you:

  • Extensive Experience You have 8+ years of experience in statistics and data science, with at least 2 years in a product-focused environment. You've tackled complex challenges and delivered impactful results.
  • Technical Mastery You possess a high level of proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques, including feature engineering, regression, classification, and NLP. You're comfortable working with deep learning technologies and frameworks (e.g., NLP, image analysis, generative models).
  • Data Grappling Skills You have a knack for diving deep into messy, unstructured, or complex datasets and extracting valuable insights. Your ability to transform raw data into actionable intelligence sets you apart.
  • Programming Proficiency You're highly skilled in Python and its data science/machine learning packages (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, xgboost, numpy, scipy, PyTorch, TensorFlow). You're also familiar with relational databases like MySQL and Postgres.
  • Agile Development You have experience with Agile development practices, version control, and code review processes, ensuring high-quality, collaborative work.
  • Effective Communication You're adept at explaining complex ML systems to developers, product managers, and UX designers, ensuring a shared understanding of capabilities and limitations.
  • Critical Thinking You're not afraid to ask the tough questions to find the best solutions and are equally open to having your ideas challenged in the pursuit of excellence.
