SUMMARY

If residing within commutable distance to our office in Lehi, Dallas, or Houston, a hybrid schedule would be offered (3 days in office, 2 days work from home).  Candidates within commutable distance are preferred, but those outside of an office area may be considered. 

The Lead, QHSE Quality, Training & Development role is instrumental in overseeing the quality control of Manual Audits, facilitating the training and onboarding of new auditors, and spearheading the ongoing education initiatives for QHSE Auditors. This role demands a self-motivated individual capable of independent work, thriving under pressure, displaying proactive initiative, and effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive training sessions for new Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) and Independent Contractor (IC) Auditors on established processes, supporting regional managers in their onboarding efforts.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to QHSE Associates or Professionals.
  • Prepare and deliver investigation training to Managers and Regional Leads to ensure consistent handling of investigations.
  • Supervise a team of up to 6 QHSE employees, ranging from Associates to Professionals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and quality standards of assigned HSE Associates or Professionals.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions for audits.
  • Implement and manage Audit Quality methodologies to ensure product quality and reliability for Avetta customers.
  • Review Auditors' assessments of Supplier QHSE management systems, programs, and protocols based on the services provided.
  • Evaluate resources, processes, procedures, systems, metrics, and associated continuous improvement efforts related to QHSE audit compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departmental management/lead personnel to ensure timely completion of investigations and identification of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Leads and Regional managers to validate the accuracy, relevance, and applicability of documentation for corrective actions.
  • Support Avetta's compliance with ISO 9001 and Certification standards.
  • Support the Continual Education of QHSE Professionals by facilitating calibration sessions, identifying top error categories, and sharing efficiency best practices.
  • Coach and develop Auditors to ensure efficient and professional support for Clients and Suppliers.
  • Provide constructive and motivational feedback to team members assigned to you.
  • Assist in related Training and Corrective Action initiatives for QHSE Auditors.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.
  2. May be required to attend training, meetings, or seminars.
  3. Required to travel in the event of customer or client meetings

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a QHSE-related discipline is highly preferred.
  • Possession of an advanced Safety designation (CSP, ASP, etc.).
  • 5+ years of robust experience in safety supply chain management.
  • Prior experience in an Avetta HSE Professional role is advantageous.
  • Profound knowledge and comprehension of OSHA regulations and familiarity with other Regulatory Agencies (EPA, MSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, ANSI, ISO, etc.).
  • Preferred background in Industry & Field HSE, with bilingual proficiency being an added asset.
  • Proficiency in utilizing diverse computer applications such as Access, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, as well as expertise in Web Conferencing Software (e.g., Zoom, Webex, or GoToMeeting) and JIRA.
  • Desirable experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of setting and accomplishing goals autonomously.
  • Proficient understanding and effective communication of the functional workings of SaaS model software.
  • Maintains a consistently positive attitude and promotes professionalism.
  • Enforces compliance with Avetta Policies and Audit Protocols.
  • Ensures the attainment of weekly/monthly production and quality objectives.
  • Capable of generating reports and dashboards using Salesforce to assess production and efficiency metrics.
