Commercial Contracts - Procurement Attorney (In-House Remote)

Latitude is looking for an attorney with at least five years of in-house procurement commercial contracting experience for an opportunity to work with the legal department of a global company. Applicants must have extensive experience structuring, drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide variety of commercial contracts to support the procurement team. Preference is for hybrid in Minneapolis, but remote candidates will be considered if available to travel to Minneapolis periodically.

Basic Requirements for the Commercial Contracts - Procurement Attorney (In-House Remote):

  • 5+ years of in-house procurement commercial contracting experience
  • Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts including procurement of materials, goods and services, construction services, and related agreements
  • Prior in-house experience working in a corporate legal department in the industrial, construction, packaging and/or transportation industries is highly preferred
  • Experience with the Sirion contract life cycle management system is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills as well as the flexibility and emotional intelligence needed to successfully “parachute in” to meet a client’s needs
  • Licensed to practice in state of residence
  • Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Outstanding professional references

Position Details of the Commercial Contracts - Procurement Attorney (In-House Remote):

  • Type of role: Contract engagement
  • Schedule: Flexible (part-time to full-time or anywhere in between) for approximately 3-4 months, potentially longer
  • Location: Minneapolis / Saint Paul Metropolitan Area (hybrid but remote candidates will be considered)
  • Timing: Need is immediate

Compensation :

Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $160,000 to $185,000+ when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).

Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
