Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Travel Business Development Manager to remotely join our client's growing team in the northern USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting, engaging, and securing new business within the academic, humanitarian, faith-based, and group travel sectors. This role demands a consultative sales approach, solution-based selling, and expertise in the travel industry. The candidate will focus on maximizing profitability through effective promotion of products and services and building long-lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage with potential new clients through calls, referrals, tender sites, and virtual meetings (Teams/Zoom)
  • Secure meetings with decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Understand and communicate the client’s product line and value proposition effectively to prospects
  • Prepare and present concise, targeted presentations, proposals, and sales contracts
  • Conduct professional presentations to potential clients, ensuring clarity and relevance
  • Track and monitor all sales activities via Salesforce and submit regular reports
  • Identify market trends and monitor competitor offerings, pricing, and messaging
  • Recommend relevant products and services that maximize profitability for clients

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a consultative business development role within the travel industry
  • Proven success in competitive market environments with a dynamic approach to business development
  • Strong prospecting, presentation, and closing skills
  • Ability to build credibility and influence senior customers effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Experience in business travel, airlines, tour operators, or travel agencies is essential
  • Strong understanding of solution-based selling techniques and customer management
