Automation Skills: Proficiency in developing automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar. You should be capable of transitioning manual test cases into automated tests to increase efficiency over time.
Task Management: Hands-on experience with managing bug tracking in Jira, including passing off tickets once issues are resolved and tested. You should be familiar with full regression testing to ensure new changes don’t introduce new issues.
Leadership Ambition: A clear desire and potential to lead a QA team. You should be eager to guide and mentor junior testers, setting standards and processes that ensure high-quality outputs.
Collaboration and Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively in a remote team, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of testing progress and issues. You should be comfortable working closely with developers and product managers to align testing efforts with project goals.
Critical Attention to Detail: The ability to meticulously test complex systems, ensuring that every defect is caught before release. This includes identifying edge cases and testing for them.
English Proficiency: Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) are essential to collaborate effectively with U.S.-based teams.
