Job description

Latitude is seeking a paralegal with 5+ years of litigation experience for an engagement to assist with litigation work at a boutique law firm based in the Atlanta area. Candidates working remotely will be considered. If you are in Atlanta and able to work in the Midtown office, that is a plus. You will largely be assisting with labor & employment-related investigations and pre-trial work. The work will include some combination of taking notes during witness interviews, organizing and assembling documents, reviewing and summarizing documents, research, cite checking, proofreading, filing documents in state and federal court and similar trial-related tasks. The successful candidate must have an extensive amount of trial preparation and/or trial experience and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills and confidence to drive things forward and express opinions. The successful candidate must also possess the demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. This role has the opportunity and expectation of working (and being paid for) in excess of 40 hours per week on evenings and weekends on fast-moving, significant investigations and litigation.

Requirements of the Litigation Paralegal (Remote):

  • 5+ years of litigation experience as a paralegal
  • Extensive experience handling projects in preparation for trial and/or at trial in civil litigation matters, in particular labor & employment matters
  • Ability to and interest in working in excess of 40 hours per week, including nights and weekends
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding references required

Compensation

The annualized compensation for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 or more. Pay is based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location. In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan. Benefits-eligible Latitude employees receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D and professional liability insurance. Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
