Job description

The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving top-line sales growth, field productivity, and market penetration. This role focuses on expanding the base of distributors and customers through personal recruitment, developing new sales leaders, promoting business duplication, and implementing effective retention strategies.


The position requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships and execute business development and sales strategies to grow the distributor and customer base. It also involves supporting distributors in developing their businesses productively and profitably to maximize their potential earnings.


Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential, along with a solid understanding of Chinese and English business and consumer behaviors in Australia. The ideal candidate will have experience in the direct selling or multi-level marketing (MLM) industry and possess strong skills in prospecting, relationship building, and recruiting.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Development

  • Personally recruit and develop distributors and customers to expand the business and accelerate sales growth in Australia.
  • Develop, grow, and support emerging new business leaders to achieve both personal and company targets in recruitment, product sales, and retention.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement recruitment and sales activities, such as face-to-face and online opportunity meetings, seminars, business meetings, expos, and other events to achieve targets.
  • Effectively communicate vital business information and updates to distributors regarding new company initiatives.
  • Actively participate in discussions with the Country Manager and Regional Training Manager to communicate updates and feedback from the field.


Sales

  • Develop and implement an effective sales, recruitment, and development strategy.
  • Recommend and implement robust strategies to increase market penetration, grow new leaders, and expand the distributor and customer base.
  • Analyze data and trends to provide insights that increase recruitment and sales.
  • Maintain rapport with personally sponsored distributors and groups by meeting specific needs, identifying new opportunities, and expanding into new areas.


Training & Reporting

  • Conduct training programs on business building, compensation plans, customer development, and product knowledge to ensure compliance with company growth strategies.
  • Implement regional leadership development training and initiatives.
  • Provide feedback from the field and submit market intelligence reports to management consistently and promptly for continuous improvement.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the direct sales or network marketing industry with a proven track record of recruiting, developing, and growing distributor teams and customer bases.
  • Experience in a direct-to-consumer organization with a focus on business development, increasing sales, and strengthening relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Asian market culture and business/consumer behavior.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and fluent English communication skills.
  • Established networks or relationships that can be leveraged for new business and growth opportunities.
  • Proactive and committed to making a positive impact while achieving personal, team, and company goals.
  • Proven ability to leverage relationships to drive results in sales, leadership development, and team building.
  • Excellent sales, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in the health and wellness sector are a plus.
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required.
  • Ability to travel intra- and interstate according to business needs.
  • Strong team player.
