Newtek Insurance Agency, is a retail and wholesale brokerage insurance agency licensed in all 50 states, specializing in the sale of commercial and health/benefits lines insurance products to the SMB market as well as various personal lines of insurance.
As VP, Insurance Services - Personal Lines Specialist, will be responsible for consulting and closing new prospect opportunities. In addition, you will work with our RVPs and Marketing team to explore opportunities for expanding the client portfolio within the Personal Lines space. Opportunities are generated from a variety of referral sources including cross-selling referrals from existing Newtek clients. This role will focus on both value clients as well as high-net-worth (HNW) personal lines business, which includes working with the RVP's and their clients to bring the Newtek product offerings to prospects. This requires the ability to organize, manage multiple tasks, manage client, and company relationships, collaborate across the team, and gather and communicate technical information as it pertains to insurance. Maintain a professional working relationship with internal customers and external clients.
Job Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
- Lead all incoming inquiries on a daily basis by contacting clients from our internal customer base, as well as alliance partner relationships, ultimately driving revenue growth and sales
- Meet monthly production and revenue goals set for booking and binding new business
- Enhance the customer experience and build relationships by presenting a professional image as you represent the company while being camera ready in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Qualify and analyze prospects' coverage needs, assess their risk and consult on solutions to meet their needs
- Utilize internal referral management system(s) on a daily basis in order to document progress and milestones within the sales process
- Responsible for contacting prospect at least every 3 days, making substantive and diligent efforts to advance through the sales process
- Educate and consult prospects on coverages that are available and appropriate for their business
- Inform prospects about policy inclusions, limitations or changes to enhance coverage
- Follow up with prospects during the sales process to keep the client engaged and informed every step of the way
- Engage in daily virtual client interaction through impactful communication across phone, webinars, emails, PowerPoint, etc.
- Cross sell other Newtek services to a new or existing customer, by creating a partnership and serving the customer any relevant additional services
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and decision makers to secure and earn relevant business
Qualifications Include But Not Limited To
- Prior Experience in Personal Lines a Strong Plus
- Property & Casualty Insurance License - Personal Lines
- Knowledge of insurance products and usages.
- Knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets.
- Strong expertise with sales and insurance implementation of homeowners, automobile, valuable articles, collections, umbrella and other ancillary lines
- Comfortable with being on video camera while engaging with clients/customers, attending company/department meetings, etc. as required.
- Knowledge of any/all liability coverages property, professional, management, auto, etc.
- The ability to read policies and break down coverage.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and act with a sense of urgency.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent time management, planning and organization skills.
- Contribute individually with minimal supervision as part of a team.
- Knowledge of how to use Agency Management System.
- A sense of urgency and ownership when dealing with clients and prospects of Newtek.
- Proficient computer and keyboarding skills, ability to type 35wpm with reasonable accuracy.
- Ability to make 50-75 outbound calls per day to make contact with clients to review policies and coverages.
- Bi-lingual is a plus
The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 a year.
