Description/Job Summary
Reporting to the SVP of Operations and Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager will have broad responsibilities for FP&A (financial planning and analysis) and Project Accounting. The Finance Manager will provide leadership and coordination of the company’s financial reporting, financial planning, budget management and project accounting. The Finance Manager will work with the Accounting Manager to ensure that finances are accurate and consistent with Lindahl Reed goals and policies. The Finance Manager will review policies and procedures to align with Lindahl Reed’s accelerated growth and to maintain FAR/CAS, DCAA and GAAP compliance. The Finance Manager will build the capability and the team for FP&A and Project Accounting functions. The Finance Manager will provide leadership, insights, and advice to drive financial performance and mitigate risks. The Finance Manager will be an integral member of Lindahl Reed’s operations team and will work closely with other leaders to support Lindahl Reed’s accelerated growth as part of an integrated operations team.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage the Annual Operating Plan process for financial forecasting.
- Manage ongoing EAC forecasts at the project level.
- Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards.
- Alongside the Accounting Manager, the Finance Manager will generate reports and variance analysis based on trends and performance against budget.
- Implement and/or maintain consistent policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future applicable legislation.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
- Create a high performing team and an environment of trust and productivity.
- Support the annual financial audit, and other audits as required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field
- 8+ years proven FP&A, accounting and/or project controls experience in professional services government contracting
- Experience with Unanet, Costpoint, or other similar ERP is *required*
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Strong verbal and written communication and time management skills
- Exemplary history of financial project management
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, customer focus
- Keen analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills
