We are looking for a visionary leader to join our team as the Vice President of Engineering, driving the technological strategy and execution that will propel our company to the next level.

Job Summary: As the Vice President of Engineering, you will lead our engineering team in building and scaling a cutting-edge platform that meets the complex needs of private market participants. You will play a critical role in shaping the technology strategy, overseeing the development process, and ensuring that our solutions are robust, secure, and scalable. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of fintech, private equity, and venture capital, as well as a proven track record in scaling engineering teams and platforms at top-tier tech or financial services companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy:
    • Develop and execute the engineering vision and strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business goals.
    • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
    • Drive the technology roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of the platform.
  • Platform Development & Scaling:
    • Oversee the design, architecture, and development of our platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our customers in the private markets.
    • Implement best practices in software development, deployment, and operations to achieve optimal performance and reliability.
    • Scale the engineering team and platform to support rapid growth, including managing the challenges of a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with product management, operations, and other cross-functional teams to deliver features that meet customer needs and drive business outcomes.
    • Engage with key stakeholders, including venture capital and private equity professionals, to understand their pain points and ensure our technology addresses them effectively.
    • Represent the engineering function in executive meetings and provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging them to enhance our platform and gain a competitive edge.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging experimentation and the adoption of new tools and methodologies.
    • Drive the adoption of automation and other efficiency improvements within the engineering team.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role at a top-tier tech or financial services company.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams and platforms, preferably within the fintech space.
  • Deep understanding of private markets, including venture capital and private equity industries.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and a strong focus on delivery and execution.
  • A passion for fintech and the mission of unlocking liquidity in private markets.
