Database Reliability Engineer Specialist

Job Description:

Our organization is currently looking for a Database Reliability Engineer with a focus on supporting and maintaining database systems and services. This role involves various responsibilities such as database maintenance, design, implementation following standards, ensuring security, integrating systems, capacity planning, process and procedure development, refinement, and offering technical support. As a valued member of our data team, we anticipate you to be a self-motivated problem solver who welcomes challenges.

Main Responsibilities:

- Ensure continuous availability, resilience, and optimized database performance.

- Manage database replication, data security, and cloud-based data governance.

- Diagnose and resolve complex database issues.

- Monitor database performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and optimize queries.

- Collaborate on strategic infrastructure and system integration projects.

- Work closely with SRE and Backend Engineering teams for seamless data operations and high application performance.

Requirements:

- Experience in database administration.

- Strong experience in Database Administration, especially PostgreSQL.

- Knowledge of data security, cloud-based governance, and best practices in database modeling and performance tuning.

- Familiarity with various data storage engines like Postgres and MongoDB.

- Proficiency in cloud services, Git, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

- Significant experience in designing large enterprise solutions/use cases.

- Proficiency in Docker, docker-compose, and Kubernetes.

- Experience with microservices architectures.

- Work experience in cloud environments (OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).

- Strong English communication skills.
