Recently, Green Capital has also strengthened its activity in other markets in Europe, Africa and Asia. In these regions the company plans its growth based on the design, construction and operation of diversified renewable energy sources, energy storage and transmission networks.

Land Acquisition Specialist

Location: Zagreb, all HR

Work type: Field work with home office

Contract Type: Full-time, B2B

We are looking for an experienced LAS to join our rapidly developing company in Croatia. In this role, you will play an integral part in our greenfield project development, focusing primarily on surveying suitable sites in the whole Croatia for renewable energy development and securing land through lease agreements. The role requires excellent communication skills as it involves regular interactions with landowners and community representatives.

Role Description

  • Frequent field visits to indicated locations, with favourable conditions for green investments
  • Scout, prospect and visit attractive land plots
  • Researching landowner contact information.
  • Securing land through lease agreements.
  • Maintaining communication with landowners to support permit development.
  • Cooperating with local authorities and legal experts in land lease agreement documentation.
  • Surveying suitable sites for renewable energy development.
  • Overseeing all land-related legal issues, including transfers of titles, deeds, and zoning.

Requirements

  • Min. 3+ years experience in Land Acquisition for new investments
  • We prioritize experience in acquiring land for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, mix, other), but all L.A. or Commercial/Industrial Real Estate experience is welcome.
  • Good knowledge of land rights, regulations, zoning and leasing practices in Croatia.
  • Excellent command of the English and Croatian language, written and spoken.
  • Independence and high organizational skills.
  • A goal-oriented, initiative-taking, and committed attitude.
  • Willingness to travel for business.

Ideally to have

  • A track record in managing real estate deals or projects, ideally with a portfolio scale totalling 200-300 MW in installations.
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy industry (medium to large scale photovoltaic or wind energy).
  • Female candidates are welcome.
