Job Description

The Director/Sr. Director of Campus Partnerships, is a leading member of the Campus Partnerships team within WorldStrides Higher Ed as well as the leader of a geographic regional team, specifically focused on the TEAN and ISA divisions’ U.S. partners. A team lead provides strategic guidance and leadership to one’s team of Regional Directors and Campus Partnerships more broadly. This leadership includes fostering success across the team, as well as setting strategies for targeted growth and high-quality support to our partners and their students. This includes development and implementation of partner solutions and business development within one’s portfolio and as a leader to one’s team.

Director Of Campus Partnerships Responsibilities

U.S. COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIPS:

  • Develop a comprehensive awareness and understanding of U.S. partner universities, including the needs, pain points, and priorities of the students, staff and faculty with regard to education abroad
  • Develop a comprehensive awareness and understanding of ISA and TEAN's relationship with each or our U.S. partners
  • Such awareness will be developed through acting as the full-service contact(s) and a proficiency of those responsibilities held by UP, including but not limited to:
    • Affiliation and associated benefits
    • Program Approvals and Portfolio Development
    • Signature Program Development
    • Other unique outreach initiatives to realize school-specific goals (e.g. Curricular Mapping, target audience spotlight events, etc.)
    • Innovative programming and engagements using the UP modalities made available, currently including but not limited to the following:
    • Support the processes and policies for financial aid, admissions, credit transfer, and risk management
    • Assist site visit management team in the nomination and considerations for group and individual site visits and post-visit follow-up with those you sponsor
    • Provide education and training opportunities to education abroad staff and campus stakeholders, including front-line advisors (peer, graduate, and professional staff)
    • Research, register, prepare for, and participate in student engagement and support activities, such as fairs and other recruitment activities, pre-departure orientations, and re-entry support.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to increase partner engagement through development of collaborative initiatives to foster the realization of their international education objectives and growth for WSHE
  • Maintain and expand WSHE’s relationship with US partnerships by acting as an advocate for your partner universities within WorldStrides as well as an ambassador of WorldStrides within these partnerships and the professional as a whole
  • Support Health and safety incident management communications that go beyond needs met by HS&S team, and the Manager and staff on call
  • Communicate effectively with campus stakeholders and partners through extensive phone, email communication and video conferencing as well as face-to-face meetings on campus, at conferences and beyond
  • Play lead role in articulating bids, proposals, agreements, and memoranda of understanding as necessary to solidify and define partnerships between U.S. universities and WorldStrides
  • Assist with supervising undergraduate student Global Ambassadors in assigned region
  • Assist with strategic utilization of any ISA and TEAN benefits as set forth in our affiliation or other special agreements and consider refinement of these benefits to best align to their needs and our evolving partnership
  • Manage record keeping pertaining to the universities within your portfolio, including campus visit notes, contacts, program developments, approved programs, business development tracking, emergency contact notes, and other data points a Team Lead will also have generalist proficiency in representing Custom Programs as part of WSHE, refer issues and opportunities to CP colleagues, and work together in a unified sales group
ENHANCING THE WORKDSTRIDES BRAND AND PRESENCE IN THE FIELD:

  • Foster continual maintenance and improvement of ISA’s brand identity, perceived reputation in, and contributions to, the field of education abroad through the following:
    • Active membership
    • Engaged conference attendance including presenting conference sessions, collaborating on webinars, engaging with their social media, special interest campaigns, and collaborative research
    • Management of relationships with key organizational stakeholders and decision makers on behalf of WS
    • Strategic engagement with professional member organizations and special interest groups (e.g. Forum, NAFSA) as executive management deems appropriate through:
    • Keep abreast of trends, research, and activities of the competition within the field, reporting those trends back to stakeholders and leadership.
    • Determine target aspirational schools with which WSHE does not presently collaborate, then develop and pursue a strategic plan to foster these relationships
DEPARTMENTAL, INTER-DEPARTMENTAL, INTER-DIVISIONAL & EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT/COLLABORATION:

  • Report on enrollment, trends, opportunities and projects to WSHE colleagues and leadership
  • Develop and refine ISA and TEAN materials and resources that can facilitate discussions with university officials regarding partnerships or programming with us
  • Coordinate U.S. partner school outreach, student engagement and strategy with members of the other units that focus on sales and domestic relationships for ISA, TEAN and other WS divisions

RESPONSIBILITIES For SUPERVISION & SUPPORT Of SUPERVISEE(S)

  • Determine with WSHE leadership how you and your team will each engage with which partners and in what ways to maximize our growth through service to our partners
  • Guide creation of strategy for schools within your region, and coach supervisees in successful relationship management. Supervisee’s actions and activities may include all of those listed in the section above, but should focus 75% of their focus on “B2C” work, while this position’s focus remains on “B2B” work
  • Maintain a sufficient level of knowledge regarding all aspects of your supervisee's role and engage with them in such a way that they are poised for success with this role
  • Perform additional management duties include approving flights, reviewing travel logistics, approving PTO requests, managing performance reviews

OTHER RESPONSIBILITES, PROJECTS, AND MISC.

  • Manage one or more special projects that fall under WSHE Partnerships purview, or which is newly identified and of strategic interest
  • Serve the Health Safety, and Security department in a support role either as back-up manager on-call 5-8 weeks a year or as a team member on-call about once a year
  • Other additional duties as assigned
  • Travel as necessary to achieve success in all the above. Travel will be approximately 50-70 days on campuses or at conferences per year
  • Manage a small team of regional directors

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Education, or related field
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • Proven track record of selling within the higher education sector or comparable experience
  • Strong understanding of higher education, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Expert skills in prospecting and generating leads via phone, email, virtual events, and meetings
  • Ability to work independently & collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, virtually and in-person
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented, growth mindset and passion for driving impact
  • High degree of initative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
  • A general curiosity and desire to learn about international travel and cultures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM

  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management or related field
  • 8-10 years of management experience (for Senior Director)
