Job Description

The UnitedLex Contracts Services Group is excited to hire a Contracts Analyst for our expanding, dynamic team to support existing client relationships by assisting the client in its sourcing department.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and quality check Non-Disclosure / Confidentiality Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and Vendor Contracts to meet the expectations of our client.
  • Participate in calls with our client and negotiation calls with counterparties.
  • Exercise excellent professional judgment in negotiation and redlining; resolve first-level disputes and escalate appropriate questions to UnitedLex senior legal team providing support to the client as well as the client’s legal team.
  • Collaborate with client legal team to resolve issues and develop efficient and effective negotiation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to client vendor management requirements that achieve the optimal combination of service, cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
  • Build and strengthen strong working relationships with clients based on confidence, performance, accountability, and visibility.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients via daily emails, calls, and video calls.
  • Assist in the implementation, and communication of formal policies, processes, and procedures to govern a supplier contract throughout its life cycle, including but not limited to appraisal, assessment, on-boarding, risk and performance monitoring, policy compliance, and communication.
  • Stay abreast of and contribute to sourcing and procurement’s professional trends and functional innovation, particularly around legal and contractual matters.
  • Willingness to assume additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Law school graduates are considered an advantage but not a must.
  • 1-3 years of contract negotiation and management experience
  • Solid business judgment, including the ability to anticipate and analyze the impact and consequences of decisions/initiatives and recommendations, and the needs of the requesting entity.
  • As the initial client provides healthcare solutions, some knowledge of insurance and/or healthcare is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Role will be fully remote, with some ability to respond to occasional after-hours requests, as required by the business.
  • Must be able to maintain a quiet working environment with a consistent broadband connection.
