Binnies an RSK Company, is recruiting
Project Managers to join our Water Services team to support our expanding workload with our key clients in the water industry. We support a flexible base location including home and office working, or a mixture of both as desired. Our team consults, delivers and manages projects in the water sector. The Project Manager will be accountable for the planning and execution of our projects to the defined scope, cost and programme to meet our Client’s requirements.
Responsibilities
- Under limited supervision plan, execute, monitor and control projects in terms of scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management for projects varying in size up to £500k revenue
- Effectively control and manage project change
- Deliver projects to the As-Sold financial metrics or better
- Contract management under a range of framework and standalone contracts
- Assess the technical and commercial risk of projects during the sales process
- Create and review proposals and costings for new projects
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems, and drive innovation and efficiencies throughout the project delivery process
- Provides leadership, guidance and direction to project teams in the coordination and delivery of multi-disciplinary appraisals and designs
- Organise and chair professional client meetings
- Balance the needs of multiple projects and teams and support team members as required
- Line Manager responsibilities for junior PMs
Qualification/ Attributes
The role is suitable for an individual with some previous Project Management experience, or a Chartered Engineer/Scientist with a desire to focus on Project Management and develop their career in this direction. You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:
- Professional qualification in Project Management and/or an engineering discipline
- Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) or Geography discipline
- Ability to work under general supervision to plan, execute, monitor and control projects in terms of scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communications and risk
- Leadership skills to manage small project teams and create positive team interactions
- Motivated to manage develop a career in the water industry
- Knowledge of programme management using Microsoft Project or other suitable software
- Ability to balance multiple priorities
- Proactive and methodical approach to problem solving as an individual and as part of a team with a desire to find a solution
- Collaborative and inclusive individual who can effectively manages small to medium project teams
- Liaison with internal and external clients to develop relationships across the business
- Excellent communicator with colleagues, clients, joint venture partners and stakeholders
