Middle QA Engineer

Today we need a Middle QA Engineer who loves challenges, is interested in learning new technologies, and aspires to become an experienced specialist with high-quality technical expertise.

Job responsibilities:

• Participate in the creation and maintenance of various test models;
• Conduct manual testing of UI and API by test cases within the release cycle and in research mode;
• Participate in the development and maintenance of automated tests;
• Communicate with the team, conduct requirements reviews.

Requirements:

• Understand different types of functional testing;
• Practical knowledge about basic techniques of test design, defining equivalence classes, and applying the boundary value method in practice;
• Good understanding of what impact a particular defect will have on the product and the ability to prioritize test cases;
• Good English skills (B1 level and higher).

Also important:

• Know a general idea of how the HTTP 1.x protocol works: request and response structure, headers, response codes, redirect, caching control;
• Know the basic data transfer formats (JSON, XML, URL-encoded), the URI structure, the multipart format of the request body;
• Have a general understanding of the various principles of organizing APIs (REST, RPC);
• Have a good understanding of what HTML and CSS are;
• Understand the basic principles of a web application, and imagine the whole cycle from sending a request to rendering a page.
• Know the main browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari), be able to use the debugging tools built into them.
