Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Cypress Test Automation Engineer to play a pivotal role in our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automated testing frameworks, particularly Cypress, along with a proven track record in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of automated test suites using Cypress for web applications.
  • Collaborate closely with the QA team to identify testing requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and strategies.
  • Contribute to the refinement of functional requirements, ensuring testability and automation feasibility.
  • Drive continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies, integrating best practices and industry standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, QA reviews, and design discussions to maintain high-quality development standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in test automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in automated testing with a focus on Cypress, including test script development, execution, and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle models, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Familiarity with performance testing and security testing concepts is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members and drive initiatives.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks.
  • Passion for learning and staying updated on industry trends and advancements.


Location & Workplace Type:

This position takes on a remote working model based in, Dublin, London, or Budapest.
