C# React Developer

Our Team covers all activities related to sales and trading for the bank across multiple asset classes (FX, Interest Rates & Commodities). We form a major part of a new Agile organization bringing together Business and IT to transform the banks capacity to deliver software. Focus is given on driving technologies and understanding business needs to achieve the company’s objectives.

Job Purpose

Provide IT development for and delivery to the Commodities business

• Extend IT system functionality for Commodity OTC Products in the Pricing & Trading systems
• Developing C# .Net & Web applications using latest frameworks
• Assist 1st and 2nd line support it problem resolution.
• Work closely with existing Dev Team who are based globally
• Work with other team members to deliver business value via Sprints.
• Develop full-stack solutions – user interface, business logic, services and data layer.
• Interact directly with Front Office when required.
  
  

Technical Skills Needed:

• C# and .NET: Proficiency in C# programming language and understanding of the .NET Framework and .NET 6+ ecosystem.
• Web technologies: 
  • Infrastructure: Understanding of protocols such as HTTP, SSL/TLS and related technologies such as proxies, firewalls, etc.
  • OpenID Connect and OAuth: Understanding of authentication and authorisation protocols for secure user authentication.
  • Back-end development: Knowledge of ASP.NET Core for building RESTful APIs and web applications.
  • Front-end development: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript, React and NodeJS knowledge would be a bonus.
• SignalR: Familiarity with real-time communication using SignalR.
• Cloud technologies: Some exposure to Azure cloud technologies, primarily Redis, SignalR and Entra ID.
• Database management: Proficiency in SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server) and Entity Framework Core for data access.
  
  

Personal Skills Needed:

• Able to work in a team and exchange and discuss complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Banking experience is an advantage – especially around Commodities;
• Good communication skills – both written & spoken;
• Self-motivated, proactive and independent person;
• Knowledge and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment;
