We have an exciting new remote opportunity with our Digital Technology (DT) team for a Data Engineer – Data and Analytics.
What You Will Do:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code for data analysis, processing, and migrations.
- Implement and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, load, and migrate structured and unstructured data from various sources using VAULTIS.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of data models, applications, and data migrations.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs, design data products, and deliver solutions based on the data mesh principles.
- Ensure systems meet business requirements, industry practices, and data mesh concepts such as data as a product, self-serve data platforms, and data infrastructure as a shared responsibility.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and new technologies in the data engineering field, with a focus on data mesh and data as a product.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- BS degree in Computer Science, IT or related degree and 8+ years of prior relevant work experience; OR an Advanced Degree in MIS, Business, Engineering, or related degree and 5+ years of prior relevant work experience; OR in lieu of a degree, 12+ years of prior relevant work experience.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets and data migrations.
- Experience in working with Databases – Oracle, Sql Server, Databricks, postgres.
- Experience in using AWS/Azure Cloud Environments.
- Knowledge of database structure principles and data modeling techniques.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of data models, applications, and data migrations.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong problem-solving attitude and team spirit, with the ability to work collaboratively in a data mesh environment.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, ETL tools, and large-scale data processing for data engineering tasks.
