As the Sr Manager, Customer Advocacy & Community, you will take the lead in shaping and executing our advisory board programs and overall customer community strategy, with a particular focus on engaging security and compliance professionals. You will collaborate closely with teams across Customer Success, Support, Security, Brand, Product, and Event Marketing to drive key community initiatives, including the expansion of our Product and Customer Advisory Boards, as well as fostering customer engagement at industry events. Your role is pivotal in building strong relationships with senior security practitioners (CISOs, etc.) across our 8,000 customers to foster a thriving, collaborative, and advocacy-driven community.

You will also be responsible for customer recruitment to support various business needs and will leverage our advisory boards to gather critical strategic and product feedback from key security and compliance professionals. This ensures that our community not only thrives but also directly contributes to Vanta’s growth and innovation.

You will be part of the Customer Engagement Marketing team, which is dedicated to driving community-led growth by identifying, nurturing, and activating customer advocates, with a particular focus on security and compliance leaders.

What you’ll do as a Sr Manager, Customer Advocacy & Community at Vanta:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategy for expanding and optimizing the Customer and Product Advisory Board programs, especially those focused on security professionals, to maximize impact and efficiency.

  • Customer Recruitment: Lead efforts to recruit security and compliance leaders to engage in strategic discussions, ensuring the right voices are involved in key business initiatives.

  • Community Activation & Collaboration: Strategize and drive community engagement across channels, fostering an inclusive and vibrant community of security advocates both online and offline.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor performance metrics to measure the success and ROI of community initiatives, aligning them with business and security objectives.

  • Customer Advocacy: Partner with GTM teams to nurture, celebrate, and support Vanta’s customers, particularly security professionals, enhancing their advocacy and engagement.

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The salary or OTE range for this position is $178,000 - $209,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
