Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will collaborate, provide expert advice, and help the team identify and assess potential risks that may threaten our reputation, safety, security, and/or financial success. Engage with internal and external key stakeholders across the industry to assemble feedback for collateral policy consideration. Conduct policy reviews, evaluate collateral for eligibility, and write policy proposals to manage risk. Prepare presentations, communications, policies, procedures, how-to guides, articles, and other supporting documents to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise, and easy to understand way.

The SF Collateral Risk Policy Analyst Lead role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while collaborating with people who care so you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Guide team in preparing analyses and reports used to determine business areas that pose potential risks to the enterprise.
  • Guide team in preparing analyses and reports used to evaluate the impact of proposed risks to the enterprise.
  • Lead team in monitoring information and processes to reduce risk using rigorous analysis.
  • Document resolutions and control guidelines.
  • Guide team efforts to review business strategies that will drive success in the face of shifting consumer behaviors and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team(s) to gather information about products, policies, or other elements.
  • Research, assemble, and evaluate information to provide an analysis used for making  policy recommendations .
  • Develop documents translating multiple inputs into easy-to-understand non-technical terminology that is clear, concise, and contextual.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure documentation meets their needs.
  • Evaluate valuation products and decisions used for investments and collateral.
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 4 years of collateral policy writing
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Well versed with appraisal concepts, valuation processes, and industry challenges
  • Experience with English grammar and syntax


Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Solving complex collateral problems requiring coordination of multiple interrelated tasks and stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate with people having different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively
  • Familiarity with project management to ensure successful completion of all tasks.
  • Building strong business relationships by engaging stakeholders, customers, vendors, etc.
  • Conducting, developing, and evaluating training materials.
  • Skilled at presenting information and ideas in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Taking ownership of work end to end while still being open to direction and guidance as needed.
  • Finding causes of workflow errors and taking corrective action
  • Evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, finding control gaps, and remediating risk.
  • Operational Excellence including improving overall business efficiency and operation.
  • Creating policies, evaluating compliance, conducting internal investigations, and developing data governance.
  • Influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, resolving conflict, and taking proactive action.
  • Skilled at gathering information to explain concepts and answer critical questions.
  • Function as a liaison between the business unit and other internal stakeholders while managing cross functional relationships.
  • Skilled at looking across the organization and finding new workstreams and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Skilled at managing multiple high-pressure projects or initiatives and the ability to adjust quickly based on shifting priorities.
  • Applying technical expertise to the use of technology and/or advanced business and process skills.
  • MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
  • Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
