As part of its separation from Carrier, the Commercial and Residential Fire business is building its Accounting & Controllership department. This presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and strategic thinker to assume a critical role within the organization. This individual will have the opportunity to delve into all manners of Finance/Accounting impacting a multi-national company and creating true value for the company.

This role represents the opportunity to help build and shape the future of our Accounting & Controllership department. This person will work with all members of the department and help solve issues to create true value for the company.

About This Role

As the Senior Manager, Consolidations and Corporate Reporting, you will lead the consolidation of financial statements and associated reporting for the Fire & Security (F&S) Headquarters. This role involves ensuring all reviews and reports comply with U.S. GAAP and company policies. You will support the Corporate Controller, Assistant Controller, and BU Controllers with key financial reporting support to ensure alignment with the Company’s financial reporting requirements. This role is crucial in achieving the controllership objectives and supporting the Mission & Vision of the Company’s Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Consolidation: Gather, review, and consolidate financial results for the entire F&S business, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP and the Company’s corporate policies. Reconciling all accounts to ensure appropriate elimination in consolidation.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert support on complex consolidation situations and confirm adherence to the Company’s policies.

  • Strategic Partnership: Advise F&S leadership on financial impacts of critical initiatives and scenarios.

  • Communication: Effectively communicate and influence BU Controllers and F&S Executive Leadership.

  • Financial Statement Management: Oversee and manage the Financial Statements, including in-depth analysis of all business units.

  • Compliance and Accuracy: Drive period, quarter, and year-end close and consolidation process, ensuring compliance with appropriate policy and accuracy of financial information within reporting deadlines.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and execute on process improvement opportunities to improve efficiency, increase digitization, and enhance value created and delivered by Controllership organization.

  • Leadership Collaboration: Directly review results with F&S leadership, providing consolidated financial statement impact analysis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business

  • 7+ years of experience in financial consolidation and reporting, including proficiency with U.S. GAAP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or Chartered Accountant

  • Combined Public and Private accounting experience preferred

  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Competencies: Demonstrated experience in managing complex financial processes and delivering strategic financial analysis.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) tool, with advanced Excel skills.
