Job Summary: The Editor-in-Chief oversees all aspects of planning, managing and producing the content for Pharma Manufacturing's print magazines, website, digital products, and in-person events, as well as the daily editorial operations of its editorial team.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee the timely delivery of all editorial content.
  • Supervise, train and oversee and manage an editorial staff, including editors, writers, freelancers and artists.
  • Work closely with the VP of Content and Market Leader to develop, maintain, and continuously improve the editorial strategy.
  • Research feature story topics, industry business trends and business best practices. Write regular columns and commentaries on industry trends.
  • Manage the editorial budget for the brands, including print, online, travel & entertainment, freelance expenditures, etc.
  • Work with content marketing team to conceptualize, recommend, develop, and manage concepts and ideas for clients to drive content development through sponsored content programs, including webinars/bootcamps, e-books, whitepapers, research, social media and other formats, in support of expanding the brand’s growth in quality, reputation and sales.
  • Serve as brand ambassador and travel as needed to trade shows and conferences (including Endeavor events), and other industry functions, including speaking and moderating duties.

Qualifications:

  • Can identify unique needs of the audience (both readers and sponsors).
  • Deadline-focused.
  • Can function as an independent contributor in a team structure.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • 5+ years experience covering pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related field.
  • 5+ years experience with digital and print content development and production.
  • 5+years experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and HTML/CSS.
  • 7-10 years experience as a business/trade editor or equivalent.


This is a supervisory position.


Work Environment: This is primarily a desk job, with occasional in-person events at trade shows and conferences.


We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 - $100,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.


If you are hired for this position at Endeavor, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as hiring location, skillset, prior years’ experience, relevant education, certain degrees and certifications, training, and market considerations. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth.
