See Yourself As a Mortgage Servicing Coordinator

As the Mortgage Servicing Coordinator you are responsible for the daily management and support of Radian Mortgage Capital’s residential mortgage sub-servicing and seller activities. You will manage our sub-servicer’s life-of-loan activities from loan transfers, cash management, default management, payoffs, MERS registration and monthly investor remittances. Your position requires comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of mortgage servicing and will interface with various stakeholders including secondary, sub-servicer, warehouse lenders, third-party vendors and multiple Sellers and Buyers. As the Mortgage Servicing Coordinator you will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help troubleshoot loan servicing exceptions and provide timely and accurate responses to various affected stakeholders.

See Your Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage servicing transfers (In and Out) including data conversion/mapping from external parties to our Sub-Servicer, coordination with Sellers and Sub-servicer, and final transfer activities to ensure an efficient and accurate loan boarding or de-boarding.
  • Ensure post-boarding data and processing open items are addressed and resolved promptly including MERS registrations, escrow funding and exception clearing and pay history research.
  • Proactively oversee servicing activities to identify exceptions and root causes of issues and assist with tracking, remediation, and audit testing of corrective actions.
  • Work with Sellers and Buyers to address post-boarding issues, including trailing/missing documents, Early Payment Defaults, Early Payoffs, and repurchase issues.
  • Develop working relationship with sub-servicer to identify issues, implement solutions and enforce applicable procedures and policies in all aspects of servicing.
  • This individual will also use multiple sources of data, analyze trends, reconcile data, and identify areas of improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Your Basic Education And Prior Work-Related Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 2 or more years of prior work-related experience

Additional Qualifications

  • 2+ years of direct residential mortgage servicing industry experience (Freddie/Fannie preferred) with knowledge across multiple servicing functions.
  • Ability to handle many requests on a daily basis.
  • Ability to listen effectively and communicate ideas concisely.
  • Ability to engage individuals and groups to surface essential requirements information.
  • Strong organizational and Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ability to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile differing views, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Ability to proactively identify, summarize, and communicate loan-level and aggregate servicing exceptions/issues and develop remediation plans with sub-servicer.
  • Ability to gather, review, and summarize diverse and complex transaction related tasks, results, and requirements to ensure timely loan boarding and de-boarding.
  • Technologically savvy, with the ability to work in varied systems, and Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of various mortgage servicing systems.
  • Working knowledge of US Federal and State servicing regulations and laws, and GSE/Investor servicing requirements.
