Who We're Looking For

Our client is in search of a Scrum Master / Lead Product Owner to join their team right away. The ideal candidate is an experienced Scrum Master and Product Owner with a strong grasp of Agile principles, exceptional leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to guide teams, manage product backlogs, and deliver high-quality results aligned with business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach the development team in Agile best practices, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and remove impediments that may hinder the team's progress.
  • Foster a self-organizing, cross-functional team environment where everyone is empowered to deliver high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on sprint goals and priorities.
  • Track and report on team performance metrics, helping the team optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Lead and mentor the Product Owner team, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent delivery across all projects.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and that stories are well-defined and prioritized.
  • Oversee multiple product initiatives, ensuring that Product Owners are effectively managing their backlogs and meeting project goals.
  • Act as the Product Owner for smaller projects, defining product features and ensuring that development aligns with business objectives.
  • Translate high-level business objectives into detailed, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure that the product delivers maximum value by balancing customer needs, technical constraints, and business objectives.
  • Provide clarity and direction to the development team, answering questions and refining requirements throughout the development process.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master and Product Owner, preferably in a software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum practices, with experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Experience managing a product backlog, writing user stories, and prioritizing features based on business value.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of Product Owners or similar roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and technologies.
