Job description

What You'll Do...

Support the Marketing organization with a key initiative wherein H&R Block drives growth, savings and efficiencies by evaluating investment and outcome management in-house. Assists with management of end-to-end forecasting and optimization of the investment pool to maximize return on investment (ROI) across acquisition and customer channels. Provides P&L forecasts and helps map investment by month by channel to maximize impact. Partners with cross-functional teams to more closely tie marketing activity to P&L results. Provides more data driven expertise to deliver marketing investment and outcome models to inform and accelerate our strategy and impact.

Day to day, you'll...


  • Manage Excel files to gather inputs from marketers on assumptions like investment x outcomes and ingest data from media agency, email agency and internal systems to produce regular reporting.
  • Check agency data accuracy and ensure it has accurate representation; ensure the agency is getting what they need to optimize and deliver real-time impact tied to site visits, appts and filings.
  • Produce visual summaries of the investment x outcome story line that feed into strategy decks and other presentations.
  • Provide leadership on how to define C360 project incrementality testing and scope it as a unique line item in the investment and outcome model.
  • Build the business case for C360 project grounded in the marketing data of tax season, quantify test plans and project new 3 year impact estimates.
  • Provides P&L forecasts and helps map investment by month by channel to maximize impact.

What You'll Bring To The Team...


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
  • A minimum of three yrs experience performing sophisticated financial analysis of business or business divisions.
  • Ability to identify potential risks associated with a proposed business initiative and recommend alternative solutions.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to include oral and written communication.
  • Experience providing financial, economic and business analysis results to management.
  • Experience providing leadership and direction related to financial analysis and planning.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Minimum related work experience 8 years
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet modeling and Microsoft software.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst, or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Pay Range Information The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.

Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
