Description

The BMT Data Analyst will manage and abstract clinical data. They will participate in the evaluation, maintenance, and modifications of the clinical outcomes database. They will generate, analyze standardized reports on patient treatments, toxicity, and outcomes, respond to requests for information regarding BMT patients, and participate in the long-term follow-up of the BMT patient population including data collection from outside sources for appropriate outcomes reporting. The BMT Data Manager will comply with the institutional, regulatory and federal regulations.

Reporting to the BMT Manager, Quality & Data Management, the candidate will be an independent, detail-oriented individual, who contributes to quality improvement initiatives, and is committed to the values of the program. The candidate will be a highly organized individual who is able to abstract, trend, and analyze clinical data from the electronic medical record for data submission to the Center of International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) and other outside repositories. The candidate will be able to collect and synthesize data to monitor quality benchmarks, create reports, and perform critical data audits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration, or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related experience in BMT data management, data abstraction, clinical or laboratory research, data integrity adherence, quality data submission, and adverse event reporting.
  • Knowledge of medical/oncology processes and terminology.
  • Experience and knowledge of IRB policy and procedure.
  • Work experience and background in science/medicine, preferably in hematology/oncology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BMT regulatory agency reporting experience to CIBMTR, NMDP, Forms Net, CPI, and FACT.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with data collection, entry, and reporting.
  • Hematology/Oncology experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
  • Employee has the option to work remote, or hybrid schedule at Moores Cancer Center.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $53,800 - $91,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $25.77 - $43.58

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
