(0014) Contract Specialist (with Construction/A-E Experience) (Mid-level)

OCT Consulting is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

We currently have an opening for a Mid-level Contract Specialist (with Construction/A-E experience) with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the field of contracting and procurement. The experience can be either as a federal government employee, a member of the U.S. military, or as a contractor supporting a federal agency. We are looking for candidates to handle actions related to pre- and post-award contract work in support of contracting officers; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • No less than ten (10) years of experience in the field of contracting and procurement FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT with a Bachelor’s degree; (FAC-C, DAWIA certification, NCMA certifications is preferred)
  • No less than five (5) years of experience specifically related to supporting construction/A-E contracting, to include:
    • Experience in pre-award contracting functions and artifact development supporting design and construction solicitations, including cost/price analysis
    • Experience with FAR (Part 36) Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of and experience with Federal Contracting, such as FAR and other regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Must be able to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance.
