Job description

Position at Confluent France SAS

With Confluent, organisations can harness the full power of continuously flowing data to innovate and win in the modern digital world. We have a purpose that drives us to do better every day – we're creating an entirely new category within data infrastructure - data streaming. This technology will allow every organisation to create experiences and use the power of data in ways that profoundly impact the way we all live. This impact is our purpose and drives us to do better every day.

One Confluent. One team. One Data Streaming Platform.

Data Connects Us.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Regional Partner Development Manager to develop and lead field engagements with GSI partners - the term GSI is used loosely because it refers to the very large professional service consulting organizations that could be Big 3, Big 4 or your traditional SIs. These include partners with global agreements like Accenture, TCS but also GSIs we may be working with locally in particular regions such as KPMG, Deloitte, Capgemini, or BCG as an example.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage a portfolio of select GSI Partners.  This includes field engagement, mutual KPIs, enablement strategy, solution plays and GTM plan, marketing plan to support the sales effort, and delivery plan and skills development.
  • Drive partner-sourced & influenced opportunities on a quarterly basis
  • Facilitate co-selling opportunities, account mapping, and other sales engagements between Confluent’s field sales and the partner sales teams
  • Drive co-sell motion that accelerates Consumption and captures New Logos
  • Qualify & convert inbound leads into opportunities for our sales teams
  • Enable partner on Partner Program benefits, Partner Portal, and other partner resources.
  • Work closely with GSI Partner Leaders within Confluent and help execute GSI strategy in region
  • Triangulate GSI with the other parts of the ecosystem including Cloud Service Providers (CSP) and ISVs for greater impact.
  • Work with Confluent’s Partner Solutions Architects, Enablement team, and Marketing to enable partners to develop, launch, and support Confluent-based solutions and services
  • Develop relationships with partner teams and executives, especially the Data & AI teams, to deliver demonstrable value to partners

What You Will Bring:

  • Track record working with Global SI (“GSI”) in joint GTM motions to drive consumption and a strong pre-existing network across all levels within the key GSIs
  • 7+ years of related experience in GSI partner sales, business development, and/or partner Development in region - Experience with Open Source, High-growth Saas, Data, and/or Analytics products. AND/OR 5 yrs work experience in a delivery or Alliance role within a GSI
  • Familiarity with the CSPs GCP, Azure, and/or AWS offerings and GTM approach as these CSPs are of key importance to the GSI and thinking of the ‘ecosystem’ is becoming increasingly important
  • Outstanding track record of establishing and driving strategic partnership(s) between
companies and partners such as Accenture, Capgemini, TCS/ I6, Deloitte/ KPMG/EY
  • Proven success in building ambitious, compelling, multi-year, and multi-dimensional
    business plans
  • Demonstrated success in driving GTM and sales/revenue impact and working with stakeholders at different levels, and particularly driving messaging and ROI for the C-suite
  • A self-starter, with a strategic mindset with a strong sense of urgency and passion for making great things happen
  • Ability to drive cross-functional and local/ global team collaboration to achieve desired outcomes such as influenced bookings, new pipelines, logos, marketing leads, hackathons, executive roundtable events with customers etc.
  • Experience with negotiating large and complex deals with industry leaders
