Position Description

We are looking for a dPCR Field Application Specialist to join our Life Science Sales Team by supporting the Benelux region (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg).

This person will be responsible for driving consumable sales on the QIAcuity platforms through pre- and post-sales support including trainings, demonstrations, application support while working closely with the local territory teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding customer-centric sales process to support customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Providing customer demonstrations and trainings as well as on and off-site application support to ensure our customer’s successful implementation of our digital PCR solutions.
  • Preparing and presenting seminars to a wide array of audiences.
  • Autonomous planning and tracking of activities through use of our company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, done on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Supporting and achieving the European sales target by delivering product line specific pre- and post-sales related customer activities.
  • Acting as liaison between the product management/R&D and target customers.
  • Training and assisting other departments as well as playing a major role in introducing and supporting new products/applications.
  • Continuously updating scientific knowledge for support of customers, sales and product management on the leading edge of technology.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum Master of Science or equivalent, PhD and/or laboratory experience advantageous.
  • Proven experience with molecular biology and related techniques such as sample preparation.
  • Experience in the Life Science industry and knowledge of relevant markets, as well as experience presenting complex technical material both in text form and verbally (required).
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a results-driven environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and people-oriented team player.
  • Strong organization skills, analytical thinker, and problem solver.
  • Willingness to travel 50 -75% within the Benelux region, with possible overnight stay. Travel to other European countries will also be required.
  • Self-motivated and determined to succeed.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proven scientific acumen.
  • Very good written and verbal English language communication skills. Dutch and French language communication skills would be advantageous but not required.
