Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate complex, customer biomedical equipment issues, and implement appropriate repairs.
  • Perform planned maintenance (PM), safety and environmental inspections, and maintain effective customer relations.
  • Lead, instruct, and assist technicians on basic and complex repairs and resolution.
  • Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule.
  • Ensure proper care of spares, tools and test equipment, and ensure calibration.
  • Maintain approved parts inventory.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment;
  • OR equivalent military education and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical or mechanical equipment;
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
  • Experience with electronic digital circuitry and electronic and electro-mechanical devices
  • Experience interpreting schematic diagrams
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 35lbs.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $62,216.00-$93,324.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
