About the Role:

We are looking for a user experience researcher who is passionate about applying their research skills to shape user experiences across scholarly publishing. Working alongside researchers, strategists, designers, product and technology teams, you will combine a rigorous understanding of research methods with a collaborative approach to ensure that product strategy and design are based on a solid foundation of research.

How you will make an impact:

  • Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, analytics, and unmoderated studies to gather findings and insights.
  • Partner with strategists, designers, product and engineering teams to understand business goals and user needs. Work closely with these cross-functional teams to formulate research plans and translate research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Synthesize research findings, insights, and recommendations that will guide product and design decisions. Share research reports and presentations with stakeholders and the wider organization.
  • Contribute to the direction of strategic initiatives based on insights learned from research.
  • Continuously monitor user feedback and update appropriate artifacts. (e.g., journey maps, personas)
  • Champion the voice of the user throughout the company through cross-functional team collaboration, shared learning, and presentations.

What we look for:

  • Proven experience conducting user research and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with UX research methods and a strong desire for continued learning & improvement of research skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to condense large amounts of information into clear and organized reports.
  • Organized and capable of balancing multiple projects at one time.
