What You'll Do: 

General Responsibilities

  • Perform training activities as stipulated by laboratory management and document these activities in a timely manner their training record.
  • Report any SOP deviation directly to quality assurance (QA).
  • Prepare technical documentation (SOP, quality supplemental document, etc.) when assigned by laboratory management.

Responsibilities when performing laboratory work

  • When working as a laboratory technician the work will be performed under the direct supervision of the study director responsible for that study.
  • Take precautions to minimize health risks themselves and others. Notify the appropriate person(s) of any relevant health or medical condition.
  • Ensure the integrity of the study.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the parts of good laboratory practice (GLP) and good clinical practice (GCP) that apply to their involvement in the laboratory work.
  • Must read the appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) applicable to their involvement in the laboratory work and work in compliance with these documents.
  • Perform the functions of an analyst.
  • Reception, handling and storage of biological samples.
  • Register primary data quickly and accurately and in accordance with the principles of GLP and GCP and take responsibility for the quality of the data generated.
  • Inform general services and/or laboratory management (as applicable) about any requirement to purchase equipment, materials or reagents required for laboratory work.
  • Perform laboratory data checks.
  • General maintenance of the laboratory facilities.

  • Degree in Chemistry/Pharmacology/or similar discipline
  • Practical laboratory experience
  • Good weighing and pipetting skills
  • Fluent in English
