Your missions

Company

This client is one of the largest blockchain development companies in the world building out household name applications across finance, DeFi, NFT’s and general Blockchain SaaS solutions. Most of their employees operate fully remotely and we are looking for staff across a number of disciplines with this top tier client.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for contributing to research by:

Analysing specifications, both manually and mechanically
Investigating under-researched areas and/or alternative solutions
Proposing and implementing specification improvements
Prototyping research and proof-of-concept implementations
Engaging with the wider community is an important part of the role, and gaining and sharing protocol expertise is expected

Requirements

5+ years experience in server-side/back-end development (preferably, in Java or Python)
Strong experience with Java (or Kotlin) and its ecosystem
Experience with Python and its ecosystem
Experience in working with Unix-based environments
Experience with and/or interest in some of the following areas:

Distributed systems and peer-to-peer networking
Cryptography
Blockchain protocols
Formal methods
Compilers
Dataflow analysis

Comfortable operating in an Agile environment
Collaborative by nature
Willing to give and receive feedback
Open to learning
Understanding we are a globally distributed, remote-first team
Comfortable with handling uncertainty and ambiguity
